    I work in faults for a Telstra competitor.
    The quality of the copper is awful.
    To give you an idea of how awful, Telstra have fault reference numbers for the copper network.
    2 years ago today, they were in the 127xxxxxx range.

    Telstra obviously feels that were the govt to take back the network rights it will materially affect their business and will ask for compensation - fair enough.
