The Common Services Layer (CSL) simplifies systems management tasks. It provides a single system image and single point of control for shared resources across all IMS systems. The CSL enables one to issue Type 1 and Type 2 commands to multiple IMS systems at once. The IMS Console, which is included in all BMC IMS products, has an interface to the CSL that simplifies IMS management even more than the CSL itself.
