Publisher’s description

The U.K.-based Vodafone Group is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world and provides a range of mobile telecommunications services, including voice and data. The company decided to implement a standardized tool that not only supported and automated the demand planning process across all Vodafone business units, but also integrated agent stores into Vodafone's extended supply chain. A critical part of achieving this was the consolidation and integration of supporting IT tools in order to effectively centralize the previously detached departments. This case study evaluates the SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (SAP APO) implementation at Vodafone Portugal and its effect on demand planning and logistics operations between the telecommunications provider and its agent stores.
