The Obama administration issued a statement over the weekend on the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and other pending anti-piracy legislation, saying that the administration recognises the need for laws that fight online piracy, but is wary of legislation that could lead to censorship, cybersecurity problems, a quashing of innovation and other issues. The statement, however, has drawn the ire of media mogul Rupert Murdoch.
