update On 17 February, ZDNet Australia presented a live TechLines broadcast on cloud computing, and what the concept will mean to Australian businesses and government.

Featuring a panel of cloud computing specialists from the likes of Microsoft, IBM and Ovum, this discussion delved into the issues and challenges organisations face as they attempt to determine how they might benefit by moving aspects of their business into the cloud (or whether they should even bother).

The TechLines panel was made up of the following experts:

  • Gianpaolo Carraro — director, platform & developer evangelism, Microsoft Australia
    • Glenn Wightwick — director, IBM research and development - Australia, and chief technologist for IBM Australia
      • Kevin Noonan — research director, Public Sector at Ovum
        • Mark Pesce — futurist

The panel also examined the stages of business evolution organisations needed to go through to become "cloud ready" and look at important issues such as data security and service reliability.

We'll be breaking down the full video into chapters and providing bonus content in the days to come, so stay tuned!

Finally, i actually decided to sign up for a blog of my own! It's really amazing as to how easy it is. I have a Wordpress blog right now but it's not from the official site , neither is it self hosted by my own.

I'm actually getting it for FREE! Can you believe it? I am getting a entirely hosted and managed blog on blogging platform for free, that's right i don't even have to pay a single cent!
I've got my http://www.squidoo.com/howtostart-a-blog - free blog and some guides about http://www.squidoo.com/howtostart-a-blog - how to start a blog from these links. Try it, it might help you get one of yourselves.
