ZDNet Australia reviews seven of the most outstanding, high-end notebooks.
The Sony VAIO CR13G is a head turner that most would be proud to tuck under their arms.
It's not a machine that's suitable for long-term work, but if you're after a great-looking truly portable laptop, then the VAIO T27 fits the bill nicely.
Ultraportables don't get much lighter than Sony's 1.2kg TX17. Although diminutive in size, the 11-inch Vaio has a built-in DVD burner, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Attractive, powerful and reasonably priced, the Sony VAIO VGN-C13 is a smart choice if you're in the market for a thin-and-light laptop.
Beautifully designed and reassuringly robust, the 1.5kg VAIO Z11 marries a decent-sized 13.1-inch screen with good portability. It's not flawless, but if you can afford it, you won't be disappointed.
