The Western Australia Department for Community Development (WA DCD) has inked a three year contract with Unisys West to replace its existing client management system.
Local bank Bankwest has sold back to Unisys the 49 per cent stake it held in Unisys West, a Perth-based IT outsourcing company jointly owned by the pair.
Unisys West, the Unisys-controlled IT outsourcing joint venture with BankWest, hangs on to its old customer by a thread as the two work towards a final date for complete separation.
The Commonwealth Bank of Australia today said it would merge BankWest's technology platforms with its own as part of its planned $2.1 billion acquisition of the Western Australian bank.
