ComputerCORP today said it would buy fellow Australian IT services companies S Central and Synergy Plus, a Hyro subsidiary.
The Australian division of Texan IT services giant EDS has sent its major local clients letters assuring them that its US$13.9 billion acquisition by Hewlett-Packard wouldn't result in a drop in service levels.
Tabcorp chief executive Elmer Funke Kupper today said the gambling giant's IT outsourcing contract with EDS has helped accelerate its multi-year IT transformation program and gain certainty about costs amidst tough economic conditions and natural disasters.
Representatives from EDS and Tabcorp refuse to comment on rumours that the gambling giant has outsourced its IT operations to the Texas-based IT service provider.
In a deal that will create the biggest independent IT services provider in Australia, technical services company UXC will snap up the Australian arm of work services firm Getronics.
