Google, Yahoo, and News Corp's MySpace announced on Tuesday that they have formed the OpenSocial Foundation, a nonprofit group to support the OpenSocial initiative that Google kickstarted last year to promote a universal standard for developer applications on social networking sites.
There is speculation that a big name prospective buyer is looking to acquire business social network LinkedIn, after its co-founder and chairman said that he would be open to an offer.

MySpace and Skype are set to announce that the eBay-owned VoIP client will be providing voice chat services for the social network's instant messaging client, MySpaceIM. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
