Commonwealth Bank users across Australia found themselves unable to make transactions today when the bank suffered a countrywide systems outage.
The Commonwealth Bank's Web site Netbank suffered a major outage yesterday, keeping customers from sorting out their Christmas finances for up to four hours.
The Commonwealth Bank acknowledged its automatic teller machine (ATM) and Netbank services were down for "a couple of hours" today and conceded late in the afternoon it was yet to find the cause of the problem.
Netbank, the Internet arm of one of Australia's biggest banks, has suffered its second outage of the week, causing more frustration for customers at one of the busiest times of the year.
