Corporate security firm Sophos said Monday in the US it had offered US$340 million to buy Utimaco Safeware, a German software specialist in the field of data loss and encryption.
European security vendors aren't making as much noise as Symantec over Microsoft's move into the security space, but they're certainly concerned.
United Kingdom-based anti-virus company Sophos has elevated chief operating officer Steve Munford to the post of chief executive officer, effective immediately, the company said.
