LOS ANGELES -- Four years, five months and 22 days after it began, The United States v Kevin Mitnick ended Monday when U.S. District Court Judge Marianna Pfaelzer sentenced the hacker to 46 months in prison. Mitnick was also ordered to pay US$4,125 in restitution -- a fraction of the US$1.5 million federal prosecutors sought.
