Shut down or else. That's the message Australia's legal establishment is sending CrimeNet, a Web site that sells criminals' details. The Victorian Attorney General is determined to banish the site.
Controversial online database CrimeNet has today agreed to cooperate with legal authorities, despite the operator's claim the site did not prejudice a Victorian murder retrial that was aborted last week.
An Australian Web site is in the firing line as a judge throws out murder retrial due to bias caused by information released on the site.
CrimeNet -- the Australian site that sells criminal's details over the Internet -- may move off shore after being threatened with closure by the Victorian legal establishment.
