A judge last week ruled that Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer would have to testify in a class action suit over the "Vista Capable" logo program that Microsoft ran ahead of the launch of Windows Vista.
A federal judge overseeing the SCO Group lawsuit against IBM has set a new trial date of February 2007, allowing time for the parties involved to handle preliminary issues such as deposing Big Blue's chief executive, Sam Palmisano.
The SCO Group, which sued IBM over its treatment of the Unix and Linux operating systems, this week accused Big Blue of failing to release required documents.
