The Web site at the heart of a legal battle between several music behemoths and Australian ISP ComCen was taken down this morning at 11.30 am.
The music industry has moved to include two directors and an employee of ISP Com-Cen as respondents in its Federal Court case against the MP3 trading Web site, mp3s4free.net.
One of the directors of an ISP who were sued for breach of copyright by six large record companies has been dropped from the action.
The music industry has succeeded in having a director and an employee of an ISP added to a court case against a Web site allegedly offering illegal music files.
The legality of hyperlinks is back under the spotlight again, and Australia will be watching for the decision of a US federal judge who is considering whether to issue an injunction to prevent a company issuing cease-and-desist letters in relation to hyperlinks.
