The Australian Retailers Association (ARA) has developed a second draft RFID Consumer Code of Practice and hopes to launch a finished document by Christmas.
The NSW Fair Trading Minister, Reba Meagher, has called on retailers to be upfront with customers on the use of radio-frequency identification tags (RFID) on their products, despite expert claims that the tags are harmless.
