The new chips, described by the company as entirely Core 2 Duo-compatible but with a tenth of the power requirements, will first reach the market in a fleet of partner mobile Internet devices (MIDs) in late May or early June.

The U80V is without question our favourite 14-inch laptop, and Asus deserves praise for what it has achieved here. If the company can overcome the final stumbling block of having a reliable multi-touch touchpad on PC, we'll be thoroughly impressed indeed.
The U50Vg has some annoying design issues, but it's a great laptop that can be relied on when out and about.
It's hard for us to recommend the Dell Studio Hybrid desktop for any practical purpose. As a desktop for productivity, you can get more bang-for-your-buck from a typical budget-priced midtower PC.
