Australian EDS staff have suffered a fresh round of job cuts this week, according to sources, as local employees vote on whether to accept a 10 per cent pay cut handed down globally.
EDS staff are today gathering for a "town hall" meeting in Melbourne; however, spokespeople for the company would not confirm whether the issue of pay cuts would be debated.
EDS Australia workers have claimed that the company plans to ask them to sign a new employment agreement following the company's acquisition by Hewlett-Packard. But, terms on maintaining conditions and pay remain uncertain.
