Adobe is preparing to open source development tools that will enable existing desktop and server software to run in Web browsers, according to reports.
Macromedia aims to jazz up Web-based animations, videos and mobile content while better integrating the five apps in its updated suite.
Adobe Systems on Tuesday made good on a promise to release a Linux version of the latest Flash Player, software that lets Web browsers view multimedia information such as YouTube videos or animated advertisements.
