Australia's peak communications industry body has cleared the way for the launch of broadband services several times quicker than existing ADSL (Asynchronous Digital Subscriber Line) offerings.
Australia's largest telecommunications companies are considering developing a code of practice governing consumers' switching between DSL broadband service providers. The move comes amid claims Telstra is imposing barriers to consumers wishing to switch away from its retail DSL broadband offering.
