Intel is getting out of the graphics chip business to focus on integrated graphics chip sets. The semiconductor giant is canceling plans for its forthcoming 752 graphics chip, announced in April, and its 754 processor, which was due later this year or early next year, said David Dickstein, a spokesperson for Intel.
Intel has acknowledged that it has cancelled its Timna processor. Timna, which was slated to power systems costing $600 and below, was to have launched in the first quarter of 2001.
