The Australian Communications Authority has released a fact sheet on the effects of radiation from 3G towers in an attempt to allay community fears.
The ACA today sent a shot across Telstra and Hutchison 3G Australia's bows after it was found that each had installed mobile base-stations without consulting surrounding communities.
Hutchison 3G Australia's '3' network equipment supplier, Ericsson, has labelled the troubled network a "global trendsetter", saying its dropped call rates had been reduced to levels equivalent to GSM networks.
