New hardware on show at CeBIT in Germany this year includes a Windows version of a low-power laptop and a notebook designed for air travel.
The Asus Eee PC 1000HE is a good 10-inch netbook; while we're hanging out for the higher resolution HP Mini 2140, this is definitely one of the better 10-inch netbooks on the market.
The EeePC isn't for everyone in fact within about two seconds from picking it up you'll know if it's for you or not. For those it does appeal to, it's a brilliant little thing that fills a much lamented gap.
Despite a few useful features, the ASUS Eee Box is a novelty at best. It can't come close to the performance and robustness of even the most basic standard budget PC, while a low-end notebook can do everything it can do and more.
