The Sims

Electronic Arts' The Sims is a control freak's delight. This simulation lets you create an entire neighborhood of virtual beings, give them personalities and homes, and then watch them interact. The game's AI is awesome, and seeing your Sims react to the mundane, humorous, or horrifying situations you create will engross you for hours at a time. God never had it so good.
