The good: Easy, accurate searches for finding files; efficient downloading utilities; built-in media player. The bad: Application installs additional ad software; limits you to one search at a time. The bottom line: KaZaa may not have Napster's critical mass, but this file-sharing app is built for growth, so now is the time for you to climb aboard. |

KaZaa and its nearly identical twin Morpheus are the latest in a wave of file-swapping programs, and it looks like both will ride that wave all the way in. KaZaa and Morpheus share the same underlying technology and operate on peer-to-peer networks. Unlike Napster, they don't go through a central server, so there's nothing to shut down. Aside from a few color changes and the adware apps they install, these applications are basically identical. Plus, both have file-searching capabilities and built-in download utilities that leave other P2P apps in the dust. Download KaZaa or Morpheus now.
