Sonic MyDVD Studio Deluxe Version 5.0 improves upon an already solid set of tools for creating and editing DVDs and CDs.

Sonic recently announced the newest version of its suite of video-editing software. Priced at about US$100, MyDVD Studio Deluxe improves usability and adds a handful of new features to an already solid package of tools for creating and editing DVDs and CDs.

Upside: Sonic MyDVD Studio Deluxe has beefed-up format support while remaining both stable and reliable; informal hands-on testing shows that MyDVD makes highly compatible DVDs. An improved video editor and capture page offer enhanced motion menus and buttons, photo and slide-show editing is easier, and Sonic has added new backup functionality. Also, for the first time, you can use the MyDVD suite to design and print labels.

Downside: There's probably not enough here for advanced users. Menu-design tools are somewhat limited, and you can't convert PAL files to NTSC.

Outlook: MyDVD Studio Deluxe has all the power most users will need, but its lack of advanced design features may frustrate ambitious artists.

I have just purchase DVD burner with it came MY DVD I am sorting out the program, is there any programs available for copying dvd direct from dvd rom to dvd burner, like burning a music CD. I will not be copying commercial dvd, I have a digital video camera, and do a lot of outback travel and video the trip, once I have made 1 copy I would think it would be easier to make direct copies.
