Make your own PDF: Nitro PDF vs. Adobe Acrobat 7.0 By Daniel Drew Turner, ZDNet US July 05, 2005 URL: http://www.zdnet.com.au/reviews/software/graphics/soa/Make-your-own-PDF-Nitro-PDF-vs-Adobe-Acrobat-7-0/0,139023432,139200574,00.htm
To offer print-ready forms, brochures, and booklets on a Web site, you must create documents in the portable document format (PDF). For a long time, Adobe Acrobat was the only comprehensive PDF-making tool, but a host of programs now Nitro PDF. We prefer Acrobat, but if its tiered pricing places it beyond your budget, check out Nitro for quick, cheap PDF creation. Design pros should still spring for Acrobat Professional. Watch for a challenge to the PDF standard when Microsoft releases the Metro file format within Longhorn next year.
