Minolta-QMS has released a AU$1995 colour laser printer, the magicolor 2300 DESKLASER. What a name. Its specs include 2400 x 600 dpi print resolution, 200 sheet tray and speeds of 4 ppm colour and 16 ppm black and white.

Symantec has released Norton SystemWorks 2003 and Norton SystemWorks Professional Edition, for AU$149.95 and AU$199.95 respectively. They feature Web Optimisation tools and Norton Antivirus, which can now scan Instant Messenger clients as well (YIM, AOL and MSN IM). The profession edition includes Norton Ghost 2003, Process Viewer and Performance Test.

Sonic Software has released SonicXQ 1.5, a standards based server integration software. The Professional Developer Suite is AU$7502 per user, and the Enterprise Suite is AU$15,004 per user.

Trend Micro has released an enterprise scale Web virus protection product called InterScan WebProtect 1.0 for ICAP. It provides gateway virus protection for Web caching solutions that support Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP) 1.0, and Trend Micro claim that internal tests show the integrated solution provides up to five times improvement in throughput. The RRP is given as around AU$25 per protected user for the price range of 250-499 users.

Electronic Accessories Australia has announced the release of PenPower WorldCard, a business card scanner that scans both sides at once and can connect to various devices via IR. The RRP is given at AU$300+.
