It's never been a better time to buy a cheap and feature packed inkjet printer. We test two likely candidates from HP and Canon.
Inkjet printers have not only gotten cheaper over the past few years; they've also gotten a significant amount better. Gone are the days of blotchy black printing; you're more likely to see units that are miniature photo labs for only a few hundred dollars.
We've looked at two different printers from HP and Canon with slightly different feature sets and different price points.
Canon S520
With its fast print speeds and low total cost of ownership, the S520 will appeal to families that print lots of photos.
HP Deskjet 5550
First-time buyers should look to HP's Deskjet 5550 for a low-cost, easy-to-use printer. If you prefer a speedy model, however, keep searching.
