HP's ProCurve 2610-24-PWR is not cheap for a 100kbps switch, even with PoE, but it has plenty of features and is a quality machine

The bad: Is it really only *** 100 kbps *** ?

    Wrong, 2610 isn't only 100kbs ...a european visitor -- 06/05/08

Wrong, 2610 isn't only 100kbs : you have two sfp and two port 1000Mb/s. Theses four ports are both active not in combo mode like old model 2626/2650. In fact you have really 26 or 50 active ports and 2 SFP available (for 2624, you have finally 28 ports ! (24*100Mb/s 2*1000Gb/s 2 SFP available for 100FX, 1000LX, 1000SX with LC connector) . Price is not same in Europe, because in my country, we buy for my firm 2610-24 PWR 700/750%u20AC (euro) (less than 500$ us with actuel euro value).

2610 support static route and mstp too, radius authentication (802.1x), lldp, sflow... and many others standard protocol.

    sorry for my english.
