"Screen is excellent in d ...Robert Ashman -- 19/12/08

"Screen is excellent in daylight" This statement is absolute garbage!

    The good: None.

The bad: The screen is totally impossible to see in daylight, also the size of the screen is way too small to be comfortably seen, particularly for anyone with less than 20-20 vision. This thing goes out-of-range, and drops calls, far earlier than any other phone I have used previously. As soon as this junk is out of contract it will be sent to the recyclers. This phone was forced upon me as a replacement for my perfectly good Kyocera 1135 CDMA phone due to telstras closure of the CDMA network, and I have NEVER had a worse phone than this ZTE 165.

CHARGED ON SATURDAY NEVER USED ...R JOHNSON -- 31/12/08

CHARGED ON SATURDAY NEVER USED FLAT AS A TACK MON AM CRAP , STATIC IN BACKGROUND

The good: I DIDNT PAY FOR IT (COMPANY)

    The bad: ??????

all good so far overall. Bryan -- 13/02/09

    all good so far overall.

The good: excellent coverage, my previous phone would drop out in certain locations, this phone has never cropped out in the same places. no problem viewing screen in daylight with my phone.

The bad: screen is a bit small to view some of the small icons easily, but resolution is good.

Really disappointed after read ...Antony Hughes -- 25/05/09

Really disappointed after reading all the hype. Had it for 2 weeks now and get intermittent coverage in the suburbs some times no coverage for hours at a time, but am able to use a collegues Telstra connected phone to make the call.

The good: Excellent HSDPA speeds when it connects.

The bad: Battery life when in use. Coverage. Size.

I find the screen pretty hopeless in daylight. As has been said "if you don't have...." etc.
The battery is not anything to write home about and I am afraid that in the country (Stockinbingal) call dropouts, inability to hear the other party and so on are desperately frustrating.
Surprisingly, I find the camera O.K.
