Going through a number of revi ...Raoul Machal -- 19/02/09

Going through a number of reviews in my "to buy or not to buy" phase, I come to wonder:

Has any of the esteemed reviewers meandering about pixels and panels noticed some folk out there still use this as a mobile phone?

So how about actually testing and reviewing it's capabilities as a mobile phone?

The good: looks good on paper

    The bad: don't know yet

Overview

The good:
  • Sharp, business-like design
  • Arc Slider and QWERTY keyboard
  • Full range of connectivity
  • Hi-res display
The bad:
  • Frequent lag spikes
  • Average battery life
  • Most available Xperia Panels are poorly designed
The bottomline:

The X1's good looks and strong hardware are hampered by frequent performance lag, an unintuitive user experience and its jaw-dropping price tag.

Editors’ rating:

6/10

RRP: AU$1499.00
