I really like my new phone and it's great fun!
I agree that it could not replace my camera as i think the CyberShot camera phone is just too slow to respond and by the time it takes the photo, the moment has passed anyway.
I do disagree with the battery life comment - I've had this phone for only a few days and find myself recharging it at every chance i get as it drops quickly and consistently.
I've now turned off the WiFi function in the hopes that this helps sustain battery life.
The Sony Ericsson C905 is a very good phone with a decent camera, but don't expect this to be the model that has you selling your stand-alone camera on eBay.

This phone is great, ive got it on a $49 $10 per month plan (vodafone). Its fast and its camera is better than previous models and competing phones availble on a similar plan (all of which are 5 MP or 3.1 MP). I tried taking a picture of a pedestal fan on its highest setting.....no blurring, same with being in a moving car (100kph) and taking a picture out the left side. Its face detect is fast and its best pic mode is slightly faster than a powershot G9 (by about 0.6 secs). its flash is also decent given its a phone. Its price tag is not 1.2k given the earlier review, its now $800 prox, and likely to go lower (http://www.allphones.com.au/mobiles/sony.asp). The keypad does take abit to get used to.....but all phones with stiff keys lighten up with use, it just improves the wear over time and usually avoids faulty keys which arise from many current phones.
The good: fast camera. good price (when compared with the likes of the N96 and N95 ). great sound quality GPS and WIFI (google maps included through vodafone) high synchronization with pc aps. great video playback quality. bright screen. large numbers when typed. large lettering (but not too big) in menus.
The bad: keypad is a little stiff to begin with. Telstra is offering it on what i would call an outrageous plan.
