I have had the Magic for a couple of weeks, I have loaded plenty of apps from the Android market and played around with its features.. It seems to just get better eveyday!
The good: - It's something different... - Phone is slim and great to handle - Increadibly easy to customise.. I doubt two Magics are the same!! - Great web surfing - Good build and the touch screen is very responsive - Voda plan seems good. 1g dowload data and $400 calls. - Wifi (to me it was between the Magic and the Blackberry Storm and this was the difference).. Be sure to take this in to account, even though I live metro Melb I do not get great 3g service with Voda. They really need to do some work but with wifi who cares. - Great sinc with Gmail and Gmail calender. - Android is a more open market.
The bad: - No 3.5 headphone jack.. To be honest I could not care less, but I get the point and see its a negative. - Some of the online market products take a bit of working out (eg you might need another application to work another).. But there is endless support and if I can work it out anyone can ;-)
so buy an adapter from ebay for $1! or use stereo bluetooth....
maybe you should learn about android before reviewing an android phone! there are so many aftermarket apps to make this so much better- for multimedia there is Rockon and tunewiki are my favourites.
As for no syncing- that's an advantage- ever heard of "drag and drop"? Much easier to organise your music that way.
Next time send me the android phone and i will do a decent review for you.
any one can tel lg blu ray writrer can connect ESATA port
The gps is the only let down as the phone does not hold north - you need to turn your phone up side down to get the streets on the right side while traveling. If you can improve on this it would be better than most phones i've owned
i was just wondering if this divice comes with a SD memory card intalled inside the divice or will i have to purchase on seperatly?
cheers
Had the HTC for 3 weeks and the battery is that bad that I had to be charging it twice a day,now the phone has gone back to Vodafone 2 weeks ago and still a week away I am told,I will not be recommending HTC Magic to anyone very dissappointing. Andrew

I was looking foward to this product, but the lack of a 3.5 headphone jack and not as good multimedia playback has killed it for me. I was looking to get something different from all the iphone users but one of the big things was less items in my pocket. Guess this one isnt it.
