I have the newer model but it is quite similar.
The reason for it having separate card slots is that it is impossible to make a card slot to take both SD card, MS-Duo and a normal Memory Stick card without any part of the card sticking out of the slot. the design is great. it will take MS-Duo without an MS-adapter and if you insert an MS card, it will not stick outside the slot. You can also read a SD cards and a MS card at the same instance because of the separate slots

The good:
  • Attractive design
  • Excellent keypad
  • Great display
  • Great specs for the size
The bad:
  • Back of screen could do with some reinforcement
  • Poor positioning of speakers
  • No digital video out
  • Separated card reader
  • Vaio Update needs some streamlining
The bottomline:

The Sony VAIO CR13G is a head turner that most would be proud to tuck under their arms.
