Toshiba laptop is very slow. My company makes laptops but many employees were buying Toshiba over our own products for long time, but now people are bailing out. I have Tecra A8 (2GHz) but it demonstrate only about 1Ghz speed by most of benchmarks.

    The good: Good keyboard touch

The bad: It is just too slow

The good:
  • Durable design
  • Good general performance in office productivity
  • Easy access to tools and administration features
The bad:
  • Screen brightness inadequate for convenient outdoor use
  • Not designed for high end graphics handling
  • A little bulky for a notebook
The bottomline:

Not the fastest machine, but slow and steady wins the race -- Toshiba built the Tecra A9 with reliability in mind.
