A very easy notebook to live w ...David Shannon -- 12/07/09

A very easy notebook to live with, especially if you go to Dick Smith and buy it with 1 yr warranty for $1398!

The good: Despite ZDNet's reservations about it's looks and quality, its a Toshiba with associated support and pedigree.Compare that with "Dell Hell" when you need telephone support.

The bad: 1.Vista.2.Don't know how they manage the advertised 5 hr battery life.3.Crappy fingerprint software which can't seem to be turned off if you don't want to use it.

The good:
  • Very light and portable
  • Nice high resolution display
  • Crammed with ports and expansion slots
  • eSATA
  • Centrino 2
The bad:
  • Tacky design
  • Expensive
  • Limited performance
  • Poor sound
The bottomline:

Don't let the toy-like appearance of the A600 fool you, this is a fully featured portable notebook.
