    Here's a CON for the E8420 Anonymous -- 02/09/09

It's the only business laptop (or consumer laptop) with this much overall grunt, that has a COM port for ~$2,000.

Despite what the market suggests, it is still a communication protocol widely used today.

Overview

The good:
  • Fingerprint reader
  • Strong performance
  • Centrino 2
  • Solid battery life
  • Included mouse and carry case
The bad:
  • Uninteresting design
  • No eSATA or charge while off via USB
  • Lots of pre-installed software
  • Expensive compared to competition
The bottomline:

Fujitsu's foray into Centrino 2 is solid, but the competition is offering more features at a slightly lower price.

Editors’ rating:

6.8/10

RRP: AU$2299.00
