I am the proud owner of a dell inspron 9400 but the only feature it lacks is a pcmcia slot. your review mentions a type ii pc card slot.. the pc card slot on the right and side and actualy a express card slot accepting both express card sizes.
something i would like to see from dell however is an external battery charger or a faster internal charger...and maybe a number pad. I must also admit i had a rather nasty car accedent with it sitting on the passenger seat (it was off) after i got out of hospital.. i opened the lid and it booted fine.. not even a single bad sector on the hdd.
a great laptop if you can afford it ;)
