Try catching a train or other public transport - using a full size laptop while sitting next to somebody else is really difficult, especially if they have one, too! The battery life is just terrific for long commutes on the train, too.

I think people are really going to appreciate having a CD rom on a small notebook. I know when sitting on public transport it's easier to use a small computer!!

    The good: Small CD ROM

    The bad: A little heavy

The good:
  • Optical drive
  • Slightly faster than the standard netbook
  • ExpressCard slot
  • Attractive design
The bad:
  • For the price you could have a full featured laptop
The bottomline:

Asus' Eee PC 1004DN seems to be the final word in netbook computing, but then stumbles at the last moment due to the stratospheric price.

7/10
