anyone can guide me how to attach the monitor stand for Samsung, it's ridiculously annoying me.
Thanks for the review. on Samsungs website, the specifications says it's a 1920x1200 resolution, unless it's a failure.
I've connected my laptop to this monitor and i'm finding that the text has fuzzy edges. Has anyone else had this problem - or have any ideas on how to fix it?
I was a bit spooked after reading experiences here of 25 minutes of swaet and swearing to join the display to the base.
I read the instructions very carefully and it took me about 10 seconds. I think the trick is to gently sway side to side and front to back as instructed. Also to have both arms firmly aligned along the top of the disply to ensure firm even pressure. I could hear the rubber grommet squeaking a little as I gently moved the display. I think if you tried to just push down hard vertically then it would be much more work.
The good: Full HD 1920x1080 resolution
The bad: lack of pivot to portrait mode, lack of HDMI input
A very good monitor. Dick Smith Power House had a special the other week when I got mine for $298. A bargain.
The good: Have had no problems. Putting it together was relatively easy. You need a solid surface to put the base on so you can snap the monitor on as per the instructions from Samsung.
The bad: When you go into High Def mode the text seems to shake a little. This was fixed when I changed the frequency from 60 Hz down to 59 Hz in the display properties. Apart from that it is pretty good.
I hope i am making the right decision at $298 it seems too good to be true however after reading the comments other than setting up the stand it seems ok buying tomorrow
i'm considering buying this, as it's 1080p and a fantastic price. but i just want to know, would i be able to watch tv on it, and how much extra would it cost? =S
Great looking monitor and bought it for only $239 at MSY in Clayton.
The good: HD Compliant so capable of BluRay DVD playback.
The bad: Stupidist stand connection ever.
Got a price match from dicksmith and got it for $240. (better then msy incase somthing goes wrong dicksmith has a refund policy).
The monitor is beautiful and i really dont understand how people are finding the stand difficult to attach. Its just one bolt, not rocket science.
I have had it now for 2 months and not problems so far. Dont watch it on full brightness for too long, i nearly damaged my eyes.
The good: Clear crisp and bright colours. amazing for games.
The bad: maybe it could be slimmer, but its not too bad.
how 's the monitor surface is it scratch proof ? i am asking this bz i think it has a glossy body which will get scratches easily.
Looks great, Dont know if they changed the stand, but mine was still factory sealed and I just screwed the base right on, took me 5 seconds. hooked up a catv line and the vga to my computer, both look great, this looks better than my 50" samsung plasma tv in the catv mode watching football. I got mine from office max, their online price was 249.99 but when i went to the store it was 329, but they price matched it!!!!
Samsung's attractive "cream" monitor has a lot of upside, once you get the annoying base unit snapped on.

I bought this monitor (2333SW) a couple of weeks ago, for AUD$310.
It's a beautiful monitor, and looks fantastic, even compared to my other Samsung 226BW.
The automated MagicBright software makes it easy to change the brightness, darker for when surfing the web, and brighter for when playing games.
I agree that the base is a total b*tch to get on. It took me around 25minutes, and did involve a lot of sweating and swearing. It's quite beyond me how they chose that design (and how it passed testing!).
But once you get past that, it's just beautiful to use and look at.
The good: Beautiful design, great image, easy to adjust, good price.
The bad: Base is hard to attach.
