Business and Content Creation Winstone carry out typical tasks with mainstream and high-end applications respectively, such as converting video files or running a PowerPoint presentation. The following applications are used:

Both of these application-based benchmarks show the Athlon 64 FX-51 ahead of the Intel processors. The new Pentium 4 Extreme Edition comes closest to the new AMD chip, just 6 per cent behind under Content Creation Winstone. With Business Winstone it´s noticeable that the performance of the Pentium 4 processors drops when Hyperthreading (HT) is activated: in this mode, the Athlon 64 FX-51´s lead extends to 18 per cent.
