As Palm Pilot usage continues to climb, the need for reliable virus protection grows with it. Computer Associates is looking to come to the rescue.

Computer Associates has become the first anti-virus developer to deliver a working production version of its software for Palm Powered handhelds computers.

Available as a free download for a limited time, it provides protection against all current known malicious attacks targeted at the Palm OS platform, including Palm OS. Liberty.A, Palm OS.Phage.A and Palm OS.Vapor A.

InoculateI is designed for use on handheld computers running Palm OS V3.0 or later, including most Palm III, Palm V, and Palm VII series handhelds, Palm m100 handheld, Handspring Visor and Handspring Visor Deluxe.

It combines an extremely small footprint, a fully functional scanning engine, and CA'S award winning InoculateIT anti-virus solution to provide Palm Powered handheld users with protection against current and future virus attacks.

"CA's extension of their InoculateIT anti virus solution to the Palm OSplatform enables users to embrace mobile computing technology with a similar level of confidence they have today on PC platforms." said Jerry Jalaba, vice president of Enterprise and Government at Palm.

InoculateIT for the Palm OS platform is now available from the CA Web site at www.ca.com.
