The Oslo picture making the rounds

Rumors have surfaced about a new handheld from Palm, possibly the company's first to use its latest operating system 5.

A picture of the product suggests the rumored PDA's Graffiti area can be hidden under a sliding cover, similar to the retractable keypad of the Sharp Zaurus SL-5500.

Furthermore, instead of the up/down buttons found on previous Palms, this mystery handheld will sport a round-shaped, multi-directional key.

Although the model name of this device was not available, the leaked picture was labeled "Oslo"--possibly a codename for the product.

The grapevine also has it that the device will come with a 320 x 320-pixel color display as well as integrated Bluetooth. It may even support digital music playback capabilities.

More concrete details are currently not available.
