Have a bunch of e-mail accounts to keep track of? One way to keep them manageable: download messages to your PDA and read them when you have the chance.I have a bunch of different e-mail accounts. Some I use for personal e-mail, others I use for work. Sometimes I open new accounts just because the old ones are inundated with spam. I've even set up some accounts just because I wanted to register for a Web site but didn't want to receive the subsequent junk mail.
But with all these different e-mail addresses, I really check only one Hotmail and one Yahoo account regularly. And instead of wasting time at home or at work reading all that e-mail, I transfer the messages to my PDA so that I can read them on the bus on my way to work. Not only does that allow me to get down to business once I get to work, I can also read my e-mail without all the usual work distractions. Here are two apps that'll let you do the same thing.
Pocket Hotmail lets you download your Hotmail messages so that you can read them away from your computer. You can also compose mail to be sent once you sync up with your account. (Shareware/Pocket PC)
2bA Mail lets you access up to 10 accounts on your Palm, including Hotmail, Yahoo, and POP3 accounts. This app even lets you preview attachments. (Shareware/Palm)
