Motorola T2288

Motorola T2288

Designed for the basic mobile phone user, the Motorola T2288 WAP phone comes with standard SMS capabilities and a built-in electronic phonebook. Featuring a small LCD display (96 x 64 pixels), the T2288 incorporates WAP 1.1 microbrowser technology to enable users to access a range of information and services from the Internet. However, as the WAP browser does not include bookmarks, users will have to access the Internet via a portal.

Supporting EFR (Enhanced Full Rate) technology, the T2288 can be expected to provide better transmission and reception quality. It is powered by three AAA Ni-MH batteries that offer more than three hours of talk time and 135 hours of standby. To squeeze more power out of the batteries, users can also choose to put the phone in power-saving mode.

Looking for personalisation options? The T2288 allows tagging of SMS messages with customised alerts as well as setting of frequently used functions with shortcut keys. Other notable features include voice control over the phone book plus calendar synchronisation. Overall, the T2288 offers the very basic functions, including SMS and WAP, which is generally targeted at the budget-conscious user. It is available in Haze Blue & Plum colours.
