Ericsson A2618s

Looking for a mobile phone that can be customised to suit your outfit? How about one that lets you play your favorite melody when you switch on the phone? If your answer to both questions is yes, the new Ericsson A2618 is designed for you.

Appealing to the young and trendy, it is Ericsson's latest and most colourful mobile phone offering -- an interesting departure from its "corporate", "stuffy" designs of years past!

Featuring exchangeable snap-on front and back covers, the phone allows users to customise the colours and patterns according to their preferences. The dual band A2618 also lets users play their favorite ring melody or display an image of their loved ones when turning the phone on or off. Additional phone graphics can be downloaded from the Ericsson Mobile Internet Website using an optional PC connection cable.

Supporting Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) over Short Message Service (SMS), the A2618 receives information requested from WAP sites through SMS. Its other features include hands-free voice dialing and answering, adjustable ring signals, and games.

Like most Ericsson phones, the A2618 will be available in two versions - A2618s. With the bundled 1400mAh lithium ion battery, the A2618 is expected to last for up to 200 hours of standby time and 7 hours of talk time.
