Adobe releases Photoshop and Premiere Elements 7

Adobe has announced the latest offering in its Photoshop and Premiere line: Elements 7.

The package, introduced on Tuesday, includes 'Scene Cleaner', allowing users to remove objects from a picture without wiping the background. 'Smart Brush' allows a user to change the lighting on a specific part of the picture.

Elements is a cheaper version of Photoshop and Adobe video-editing suite Premiere with some features removed and a simplified user interface.

Pricing for the Photoshop and Premiere Elements 7 Bundle is set at AU$235, while the products will be sold separately for AU$159 each. Pre-order is available now at Adobe's website.

Customers in the US can pay an extra US$60 to sign up for membership of Photoshop.com, which allows online storage of and access to images. An Adobe spokesperson said the service was not available to UK users, and there has been no indication of Australian support so far.

Both pieces of software are due out in October.
