Video: Vista missing 'interesting' developments

The president of Linux Australia said on Monday that Microsoft has left out many "interesting" developments in Vista -- such as a new file system, which creates an important opportunity for open-source vendors.

On the first day of Linux.conf.au, Jonathan Oxer compared Microsoft's development cycle with that of the open source community. In this 3.5 minute clip, Oxer explains why Vista is simply an "incremental change" compared to Windows XP.

Oxer also said that the launch of Windows Vista will create a huge opportunity for Linux vendors to take a larger share of the corporate desktop market. To view the other part of this interview, click here.

    despite the full disclosure at the head of the interview, what makes this news? My journalism professor would have smacked me in the head if I ran a second-hand interview.

    he says, I've had some friends who have played with vista.

    so, go interview those friends. This is just an opinion piece.
