UXC buys into business intelligence

in brief Diversified local technology solutions group UXC has added Agave Software, a Business Objects specialist, to its long list of acquisitions.

Under UXC's auspices, Agave will merge with e.bi, also a Business Objects specialist and UXC subsidiary.

John Dickson and Doug Goethal, both Agave founders, will assume the roles of e.bi chief executive and technical director, respectively, UXC said in a statement.

UXC's strategy is to operate a number of subsidiaries focused on technologies from different vendors, including SAP, Oracle and Business Objects. The value of the transaction was not disclosed. e.bi will have 15 employees, including Agave's eight.
